Becoming a Non-Smoker in Kew Gardens

The Great American Smoke Out is held on the third Thursday of November. This year, Kew Gardens residents can participate on November 19th. Although there are no Fun Runs or other big events, people can still join local and national communities for support. 

Where to Find Assistance:

Exercise classes are still available through many area hospitals and community centers. The difference this year is that you will need to access them through Zoom or another online source through your phone or home computer. For those of you willing to mask up and maintain social distance, you can always watch online and still enjoy getting outdoors. 

If exercise isn’t an issue, there are still online support groups. There are thousands of people here and across the nation trying to make positive changes in these circumstances. Join them.
