Water-saturated carpet is heavy and can cause injuries; the technicians used their pumps to extract the moisture from the carpet so it could be removed for disposal. A large amount of the room contents, such as the chair, movies, and other items, were taken to an outside staging area for inspection and hand cleaning for reuse by the homeowner if possible.
